About Bob

Let us make our glasses kiss;
Let us quench the sorrow-cinders.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Bob grew up in Springfield, IL, lived across the country, settling down on his farm in Harris, MN. He eventually bought his condo in the Republic of Panama and split his time between the two homes. He was devoted to his teams: Illini, St Louis Cardinals, and the Bears. He loved pursing his Master Gardener activities in the community and liked to be called "Farmer Bob", and "Captain Bob", when out on his sail boat. Needless to say, he wore many hats. His long term dream was to sail around the world in his boat, the Blue Rhapsody.

Everyone that knew him, would agree he was an outgoing man with a wide breadth of knowledge. He was passionate about reading and music. If he didn't know how to do something, he always would try to figure it out himself first. He loved to host parties and cook for his friends. He was a wine collector, a goal setter, avid marathoner, list maker (oh his lists!), Vietnam Veteran, furniture maker, and so much more.

Bob worked for ADT most of his adult life, until retiring early and pursing his dreams. He was a loving dad to Mariah. He also was the godfather to Dino & Glicia's son, in Panama, becoming part of the family with his Panama friends. He was uncle to his brother's three boys, Greg, Brad, and Doug, and great uncle to their children.

Brother, Father, Uncle, Godfather, and Friend, you are greatly missed.
